Taicoon Property Partners Acquires 1400 K Street NW, a Landmark Office Building Fronting Franklin Park, for $35.5 Million
Washington, D.C. — October 31, 2025 — Taicoon Property Partners is pleased to announce the acquisition of 1400 K Street NW, a 12-story, over 200,000-square-foot, Class A office building prominently located at the intersection of 14th and K Streets NW, fronting Franklin Park and just steps from the White House. The building neighbors some of Washington’s most prominent organizations and businesses, including The Washington Post and other leading institutions in law, finance, and policy. The transaction closed on October 31, 2025, for $35.5 million.

Situated in the heart of Washington’s Central Business District, 1400 K Street offers unmatched visibility, four-sided natural light, and panoramic park views. The building features ground-floor retail, a secure four-level underground garage, modernized elevators, and flexible floor plates ideal for marquee tenants.

As part of its repositioning strategy, Taicoon will introduce a series of design and amenity upgrades to reestablish the building as one of downtown’s premier workplaces. Planned enhancements include a refreshed entrance canopy that redefines the building’s street presence; a new indoor-outdoor balcony on the sixth floor that opens the existing tenant lounge to sweeping views of Franklin Park; an expanded conference and event suite on the seventh floor designed to accommodate larger gatherings; and a boutique fitness and wellness center on the second floor with park views and amenities that promote health and work-life balance. Together, these improvements will deliver a holistic and contemporary experience that blends productivity, wellness, and community connection.
